Our Joe Williams died Monday, March 29, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 80 years old.

His services were scheduled on April 7, at the First Church of Religious Science, 1420 E. Harman, Las Vegas. Las Vegas Sun reported the service on Apr 6, Apr 7 and Apr 8.

Joe's Memorial Concert was held on May 7th at the Community College. It featured the Jimmy Wilkins Orchestra, The Cunninghams, The Community College Jazz Chorus, and Featuring Buddy Greico and Robert Goulet. The report is here by Las Vegas Sun.

Joe Williams Scholarship Fund
Joe performed every year at the Community College of Southern Nevada. The proceeds of that contest provided scholarship funds for music tuents. Joe Williams Fans can contribute to that fun by sending checks to:

His last album by his credit is "Feel the Spirit"(Telarc CD-83362).

Joe recorded duets with a young singer, Nicol Yarling, for the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild label (by New York Times) ; This is the last recording album. This has been released (Jazz MCG 1006).
