Research Plan
I’ve been conducting experimental and numerical studies on seismic safety of civil infrastructures, especially bridges. Furthermore, a new hybrid simulation method based on knowledge of informatics was developed and distributed as OpenFresco. I’m always planning to pursuit innovative civil infrastructures. By advancing and showing creative activities in civil engineering, I am enthusiastic about trying to make our society much better by civil engineers in the future.
As the research topics,
- Rational innovative structural systems (Approach from earthquake engineering)
- Advanced hybrid system for experimental and numerical methods
- Proposal of structural planning of civil infrastructures
The first is to deepen my research specialty, the second is to support the first topic, and the third is to aim for cross-cutting integration of various specialized fields.
